Every church has a life cycle. A birth when a congregation is planted in a community, a long process of maturity that takes decades and even centuries and sometimes a death, when the congregation size goes into decline and can no longer sustain itself.
Greater New Jersey honors congregations who face this future by supporting them in transition and investing the church property to encourage church growth in the conference.
As a result, recently closed churches have furnishings, books and worship materials available to neighboring congregations for use in furthering ministry. All congregations are invited to visit open house closeout events at recently closed churches to select worship supplies and furnishings that will help enhance worship and ministry.
All materials are free of charge and available on a first come first serve basis. Click here for more information.
