Journey of Hope Internships
Internship for Young People of African Descent
The purpose of this initiative is to create a special recruitment program for youth and young adults of African descent to help them discern and clarify their call to ministry. The goal is to cultivate within each participant the necessary skillsets to become an exceptional pastoral leader, one with a strong sense of ministering with excellence.
If you are interested in this program, you will need a recommendation from your pastor and written approval from the SPRC. Since this is the pilot program, only 5 persons will be selected to participate for the year, from July 2022 to July 2023. Each participant will be assigned to work in a Black church for 20 hours per week, which includes Sunday. A weekly stipend will be provided. The application deadline is March 31, 2022. All prospective candidates will be given an interview.
The five (5) participants will be announced on or before April 15, 2022.
There will be an orientation for students and pastors of the participating churches.
