2024 Focus Groups
1. Drew Theological School – All are welcome to attend! Come and join us for breakfast on Monday, May 20, at 7 a.m. To attend you must register when you sign up for the Annual Conference.
2. Bread Breakers – Enjoy a FREE TUSCAN BUFFET DINNER on Monday, May 20, at 6:30 p.m., as you hear all about an innovative and proven way to address local hunger issues and at the same time energize your church! “Bread Breakers” makes it easy for every member of your church to take part in mission. It’s simplistic, consistent, and highly effective! So, relax, enjoy a great dinner, and hear all about how you can easily start your own Bread Breakers ministry! To attend you must register when you sign up for the Annual Conference.
3. Extension Ministry Dinner – All clergy in extension ministry are invited join for an evening of fellowship and dinner on Monday, May 20, at 6:30 p.m. The cost for dinner ranges from $28-$33. To attend you must register when you sign up for the Annual Conference.
4. SBC21 – is hosting a dinner gathering for lay and clergy people of African descent on Monday, May 20, at 6:30 p.m. To attend you must register when you sign up for the Annual Conference.
5. Hispanic Latino Committee – is hosting dinner on Monday, May 20th, at 6:30 p.m. This year we will be celebrating our Hispanic/Latino pastors’ New Appointments, Commissions and Ordinations from 2024, Retirements, Moving to another Conferences, and more! The National Plan of Hispanic Latino Ministry is subsidizing a substantial part of the cost for this dinner. To attend you must register when you sign up for the Annual Conference.
6. UM Stewardship Foundation – The GNJ Stewardship Foundation is hosting a continental breakfast on Tuesday, May 21, at 7 a.m. Up to 35 people are invited to register and join the Foundation Team and our Wespath Institutional Investments representative. Learn more about all the FREE resources the Foundation provides and about the faith-aligned investment opportunities from short-term Institutional money market funds to funds for long-term growth and income. 7. ORDER OF ELDERS – The Order of Elders Coordinating Committee would like to invite all active and retired Elders to a continental breakfast on Tuesday, May 21 at 7 a.m., as an expression of gratitude for the work you do to God’s glory, and to provide a time for connecting with and supporting one another. We will affirm officers for 2024-2025 and discuss the implications of General Conference decisions and the upcoming episcopal change.
