Looking to Grow Your Online Giving?

It’s no secret that the giving landscape has changed over the last decade. The pandemic dropkicked us all into new ways of worshiping and new ways of giving. Vanco’s Churchgoer Giving Study reports that preference for electronic forms of giving has increased by 60% since 2019 and donations made electronically now account for nearly 50% of all giving.

If your church does not have an online giving option, then you are missing out on donation dollars.
Period. Full stop.

Fortunately, there are many software options available, and the Council on Finance and Administration recently negotiated a deal with Vanco that removes one of the greatest hurdles to starting online giving – cost. Churches that are already using Vanco as their online giving platform will save $70,000 annually with this new rate, and churches can sign on with Vanco and receive all the benefits of working with them at a reduced rate. Vanco’s online giving platform allows churches to create their own giving pages with pictures of the church and its ministry. Churches can also invite giving to specific funds, and then tell the story of how each is used to extend the ministry of the church.

Like other giving platforms, Vanco has a function that allows people to set up recurring gifts. This is a game changer. When a member selects this function, it allows them to consistently support the ministry of the church, whether or not they make it to worship in a given week.

Vanco is just one option for electronic giving among many. It may not be the best one for your ministry.  CF&A has prepared a comparison grid of the top online giving platforms. You can find it here.

Whatever option you choose, do not miss out on the opportunity to nurture generosity by creating space for people to give electronically.

If you already have a relationship with Vanco, reach out to them at sales@vanco.com to request the new rate, or send an email to learn more about how they can help your church create space for new kinds of giving today.
