DESCRIPTION: Part-time position to provide administration assistant support to the pastor and church programs. Reports to the pastor and SPRC Chair.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma, demonstrated secretarial skills with one year experience. Skill/knowledge in answering telephone calls, filing, computer knowledge, and drafting correspondence. Good interpersonal, communication, organizational and computer skills required. Knowledge of the seasons of the United Methodist Church and aware of the format for worship bulletins a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Computer knowledge, filing, copying, answering calls, check messages, refer messages to proper people, same with emails.
  • Keep memberships records.
  • Handle church reports.
  • Membership records.
  • Other essential needs of the church.
  • Maintain professional atmosphere in the office and in contact with the public and parishioners.
  • Pick up the mail from Post Office Box at least twice a week and distribute to proper committee members.

SALARY: $15 to $20 an hour based on experience, paid monthly, and roughly 6 hours per week.
