Pray diligently and with thanksgiving. –Colossians 4:2
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Prayer is powerful. Will you pray with me?
The Council of Bishops committed to pray in the New Year and to continue praying through the 2016 General Conference. We are inviting the church to be in prayer with us as we pray for the unity, witness and mission of the church. Each bishop has taken a day and is inviting the people of the church to pray with us.
The Greater New Jersey Conference and my prayer time is January 1, 2016. Will you pray with me? Will you commit to be in prayer on January 1 for the unity, witness and mission of The United Methodist Church in the world? If so, I invite you go to our website CLICK HERE and share that commitment.
On January 2, Bishop Warner Brown and the United Methodists of the California-Nevada Conference will take over the time of prayer from the people of Greater New Jersey.
Let us be a praying church this New Year.
Keep the faith!
John Schol, Bishop
The United Methodist Church
Greater New Jersey
