St. John’s United Methodist Church, a multicultural mid-sized church in Hazlet, NJ, is currently seeking a part-time Director of Music/ Church Musician.
Job Type: Part time (12 hours/week)
Job summary:
• Provide oversight, direction and coordination of all musical elements of worship including developing, leading, and directing a worship team.
• Serve as piano/keyboard and/or guitar accompanist for above group (organ performance is a plus).
• Work with Pastor in worship planning.
• Conduct weekly rehearsals.
• Play Sunday worship music as well as other special services, including, but not limited to, Christmas Eve, Holy Week, and Easter.
• Lead both contemporary and traditional musical styles.
