The invitation to the prayer group came at just the right time. I was increasingly cranky and impatient with my family, coworkers, and self. All my requests to God seemed to be met with indifference. And, I was petrified to pray out loud in front of others! But slowly, as I learned about and practiced prayer with others, I became confident, cheerful, and patient. My kids noticed it first. “What’s wrong with you Mom, why are you so calm?” My answer, “Boys, I found a friend who is so faithful and knows us and loves us just as we are!”
