Position Summary
The IT Systems Manager administers, evaluates, designs process flows, develops procedure, implements and maintains company databases, and provides back-up support to the IT Systems Administrator, and Database Manager for primary and software-related technical support; provides backup support to the Director of IT with server administration, user account maintenance, network security, system documentation, and help-desk support functions; and participates in planning of future upgrades and technology enhancements. The IT Systems Manager produces routine daily, monthly and special reports and reconciliation with accounting records. This position is also responsible for basic database and web system modifications in response to departmental needs and day-to-day system integrity, including recommending strategies to ensure data integrity.
Qualifications
IT Systems Manager typically need a bachelor’s degree in information science, computer science, management information systems (MIS) or a similar field with 2(+) years’ professional training and/or certification in advanced use of relational databases on a variety of programs. Prior experience with:
• Responsive database abilities handling various devices
• In touch with current database practices and standards
• Expert knowledge of Excel
• Understanding of Blackbaud database systems or related
• Experience in supporting and maintaining Blackbaud systems Raisers Edge, RE NXT, FE NXT or related databases.
• Expert knowledge using Microsoft Application and Operating Systems,
• Full understanding and experience of Database administration, SQL server administration, and maintenance.
• Experienced in MS Office suite and Enterprise Solutions.
• Full understating of general Project Management theory and practice.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within and with a team. Ability to act in a diplomatic manner with staff and managers of all levels. This position requires extreme tact and integrity due to exposure to confidential data. Knowledge and ability to provide principles and processes for providing excellent member services which includes member needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of member satisfaction. Knowledge of fundraising and membership. Proficiency in English (both verbal and written) required.
