Dear United Methodists of EPA&GNJ,
Our dear friends Jazelis Adorno-Burgos and Bishop Héctor A. Burgos-Núñez have experienced a profound loss with the passing of Jazelis’ mother. Jazelis and Bishop Burgos have left General Conference to be with their family. In moments like these, we are reminded of our calling to bear one another’s burdens and to comfort those in sorrow. I invite each of you to join me in prayer for their family during this challenging time.
This is also a reminder that our mission and ministry extend beyond meetings and resolutions. Let us continue to uphold each other in prayer, not only for the decisions being made at General Conference but also for the personal journeys of faith, healing, and leadership that we each undertake.
