Each inmate arriving into the Philadelphia Prison System is given ONE pair of underpants and no undershirts or socks. Can you imagine living with only one pair of underpants? Through your generosity we have donated more than 2,000 pairs of men’s briefs and undershirts.
This year, we are inviting you once again to step out in faith, and reveal God’s tender love, by caring for the bodies of those who incarcerated
In past years, through the Undies for Easter campaign, your generosity has provided over 2000 men’s briefs and over 2000 men’s undershirts.
This year, the need continues as there are 4500 people in the Philadelphia prison system, within 6 facilities. The overwhelming majority are men. Head Chaplain Urena, has asked for our help to provide at least one additional pair of briefs, undershirt, and socks to each individual entering incarceration.
Yes, that’s right, we’re looking for socks too. While in the past we focused our efforts on briefs and undershirts, this year we are adding socks into the mix. No need to worry about what brand or size to purchase, simply shop the Undies for Easter Gift Registry on Amazon.com. Just click here to see our wish list. It lets you know the brands and sizes that are most needed at this time.
For the cost of a few cups of coffee, you can make a difference in the life of someone who finds themselves in the carceral system. Please ensure that the underwear makes its way to EPA’s conference office, 980 Madison Avenue, Norristown, PA, by Palm Sunday. Items will be packed and delivered during Holy Week.
Thank you for your generosity in supporting those who are incarcerated!
